Firstly let us start by saying CONGRATULATIONS! Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life so you will certainly want to look and feel your best. It's no surprise brides often feel a crazy amount of pressure to look good on their wedding day.

Not only is there the worry of fitting into your dream wedding dress, but an endless amount of pictures will also be snapped over the course of the day. We understand that when it comes to losing weight and toning up there is so much advice out there but what is actually true?

We have done our research and helped many women like your self get the results they want and now we have put together our top 5 Tips to help you begin your journey.

1. Eat breakfast

If your looking to set your self up for a productive day of wedding planning then breakfast is what will kick start your day. Don't think that skipping breakfast will knock off a few extra pounds, in fact it will do the exact opposite. When you eat less than half of what your body needs on a daily basis your body will go into 'storage mode'. This means you won't shift any excess weight because your body is holding onto energy to make sure you have enough for the future. Eating a healthy breakfast will kick start your metabolism and then you will more likely to make healthier choices throughout the day. 2. Schedule in your workouts

Treat your training like you would treat an important appointment. You wouldn't miss a dress fitting or a wedding dinner rehearsal would you? Of course not! Go about fitting in your workouts the same way you would when booking an appointment. Put it in the diary so that nothing else gets in the way. 10 - 15 minutes of HIIT training 4-5 days a week is more than enough to get your sweat on and help you drop a dress size before your wedding.

3. Keep track of your food

One of the reasons most people fall off the wagon when changing their eating habits it's due to the fact that they are not tracking what they are eating, meaning you could be consuming a lot more sugar and calories than you think. People who track their food can lose up to 50% more weight than people who don't. My Fitness Pal is a great app you can download to your phone that allows you to input the food you eat on a daily basis and tell you exactly what and how much you should be eating.

4. Limit alcohol consumption

Alcohol is nothing but 'empty calories' meaning it has no nutritional benefit to it what so ever. If your serious about getting into your dream dress than alcohol should be limited. Alcohol will more than likely knock you off your nutrition plan and give you a reason to overindulge. If you must have a drink then opt for white spirits such as vodka and gin and swap your sugary mixer for a soda or tonic water.

5. Find support

Having support is crucial in any challenge or goal you take on. There's nothing worse than going at something alone and having nothing but negative comments and energy vampires brining you down. Make sure you surround your self with positive people that you trust and want to help you. Finding someone to hold you accountable is even better! There will always be obstacles and distractions that can keep you from achieving your goal. Being accountable to someone helps you measure your success by recording your progress. A good coach will help you visualise what success looks like so you can easily track how close you are to reaching your goals.
